Paul Mukairu has joined English third-tier club Reading FC on a season-long loan from Danish champions Copenhagen.
Neither FC Copenhagen nor Reading FC disclosed whether the loan agreement contained a purchase option.
The forward has not enjoyed regular first-team football at FCK and so his departure.
“Paul has been professional throughout his time in Copenhagen and good to have in the squad, where he has contributed well on the training pitch and given his best when he has been given his opportunities on the pitch,” remarked FCK sports director Peter Christiansen.
“However, there is a long way to regular playing time for him in FCK, so this solution is good for both parties, and we hope that he gets a lot of playing time and success in Reading.”
Mukairu, 23, joined FC Copenhagen from Turkish club Antalyaspor in January 2022.
He made 25 appearances for the Danish champions without a goal.
At Reading FC, Paul Mukairu will play under former FCK assistant coach Ruben Sellés, who is the head coach.
