Coach Ladan Bosso has promised the Flying Eagles will today beat debutants Dominican Republic “convincingly” to get their U20 World Cup campaign off to a great start.
Nigeria take on the Dominican Republic in an opening Group D clash by 7 pm in Mendoza.
“We are now looking forward to how we will get our three points convincingly against the Dominican Republic and that will send a signal to our subsequent opponents (Italy and Brazil),” Bosso vowed ahead of the match.
“The team spirit is high, we are injury free and officials from the federation have joined us to boost our morale.
“The comments about the team have been positive and I call on Nigerians to continue to support us.
“We also welcome criticisms, but this should be very positive.”
The Flying Eagles will face Italy Wednesday at the same venue, before they fly out to La Plata to tackle Brazil at the weekend.
