Manchester City have picked Victor Osimhen as a direct replacement for Erling Haaland should he be tempted away to Real Madrid.
According to Fichajes, Real are determined to sign Haaland next year.
Haaland has so far scored 47 goals in 40 games for City and now Real want him to replace Karim Benzema.
Haaland signed a five-year deal with City last season, but a step-up clause is provided for in the summer of 2024.
According to The Athletic, this amount is no less than 200 million Euros, but Real Madrid would have decided that this amount is no problem for the club.
In addition to that amount, there are also bonuses and fees for brokers to pay.
The clause in Haaland’s contract can only be activated by clubs outside the Premier League.
But Manchester City are also doing their homework for who will take the place of the Norway goals machine.
It has been reported that Osimhen is at the very top of their wish list.
Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and most recently Newcastle United are among the Premier League clubs that have been linked with Osimhen.
The striker has netted 25 goals this season and Napoli are top of the Serie A standings and heading to their third Scudetto since 1990.
