Ikechukwu Ezenwa has told SCORENigeria he hopes Heartland reclaim the glory of old which saw them competing with the best clubs on the continent.
The Super Eagles goalkeeper today signed a two-year contract with ‘The Naze Millionaires’ in Owerri.
“In 2010, I played in the CAF Champions League final with this same team and I believe we can do it again with this new Heartland who have a great future,” Ezenwa declared.
Heartland general manager Chukwudi Ifeanyi hailed the acquisition of the Eagles shot stopper.
“He’s a special player and it is an honour to sign such a player,” he said.
“Ezenwa will add value to the new Heartland and the new coach Fidelis Ilechukwu will bring out the best of the player.”
Ezenwa has previously featured for Sunshine Stars, FC Ifeanyiubah, Enyimba and Katsina United.
