Ghana have failed to qualify for the last three editions of the CHAN, but they hope they can end this against arch-rivals Nigeria.
The Black Galaxies cruised past Benin to set up a final playoff against the CHAN Eagles with the first leg at the Cape Coast Stadium Sunday afternoon.
This match will be played against the background that it was Ghana who denied Nigeria passage to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The home team are ready to battle to qualify for their fourth CHAN after a week-long training in Austria, where they played a friendly against World Cup hosts Qatar.
They are captained by Gladson Awako and coached by Annor Walker.
The CHAN Eagles, on the other hand, prepared for this clash by playing test games against NPFL side Plateau United as well as various non-league clubs based in Abuja.
The team are led by coach Salisu Yusuf, who guided the country to reach the final of the 2018 CHAN against hosts Morocco.
The team boast of the NPFL top stars like Goal King Chijoke Akuneto, goalkeeper Olorunleke Ojo and Ebube Duru.
The overall winners of this tie will advance to the CHAN in Algeria in January.
Kick-off time Sunday is 5pm in Nigeria.
