Samuel Adegbenro may not only soon be crowned Goal King in Sweden this season, but according to the chief scout of Swedish club IFK Norrkoping he will be the best ever signing he has made.
Adegbenro, 25, has scored 17 goals and provided two assists since his arrival in Sweden this season from Norwegian club Rosenborg.
Norrkoping chief scout Stig Torbjornsen is full of praise for Adegbenro, who has revived his career in Sweden after a difficult last season in Norway.
“He is one of my top three signings, I must be allowed to say that!”, the top scout told Expressen.
“When you recruit an all-Swedish goal king for minimum money from Norway … there is nothing better!
“Samuel has not taken a single penalty this season and he has not stood and poked the ball into goal from five metres. He is damn good in the open game and he is without a doubt one of the three best players this year.”
He continued: “When you sit with the results in hand, as you do now as a scout, it is one of my three best signings.
“He can be my best recruit ever, especially when you manage to recruit an all-Swedish shooting king.
“Of course, there are still two games left in the series, but regardless of whether he becomes top scorer or not, Adegbenro has scored 17 goals and he may score another goal. Then I am very happy as a scout.”
