The season is over for FC Porto defender Zaidu Sanusi after he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament.
His Portuguese club confirmed the major injury suffered by Zaidu, who featured for the Super Eagles at the AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire this month.
Zaidu was forced out in the 37th minute of a 2-0 win by Porto over Estrella Da Amadora Saturday night.
The 26-year-old leftback was sidelined for about three months in the first half of the season.
He has made just five appearances in the League this season with a goal to his name.
He will now miss major international games including 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin in June.
