Vince Osuji will in the new season get the chance to establish himself in the Club Brugge first team after his arrival from Sweden in January.
The 19-year-old central defender scored twice in a pre-season friendly against KV Kortrijk last week as Club Brugge begin preparations for the new season.
Ecuador international Joel Ordonez is expected to be sold for a record fee this summer and this will open the space for Osuji in the first team, according to Het Nieuwsblad
Het Nieuwsblad described the arrival of Osuji to Club Brugge in the winter for Three Million Euros a smart move. At the time, Osuji did not have to replace anyone at Club Brugge and there was almost no anticipation for the arrival of Osuji.
“That’s why expectations aren’t huge now. He’s been able to settle down quietly at Club NXT for six months and get a taste of the top sports environment at the Basecamp in Westkapelle,” the Belgian newspaper reported
“It is expected that Ordoñez will be sold for a large amount of money, so there will be a spot available in the defense for him.”
