CAF nominee for the 2022 Young Player of the Year Award Flourish Sebastine could make her Super Falcons debut against Japan.
She is one of four late call-ups for Thursday’s friendly against 2011 world champions Japan in Kobe.
Sebastine, Esther Onyenezide and Jumoke Alani will all hope to follow fellow U20 stars Tosin Demehin and Rofiat Imuran, who made their Super Falcons debut against USA recently.
The Super Falcons are an ageing team and coach Randy Waldrum has begun blooding younger players ahead of next year’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
Sebastine, for one, will be remembered as the match winner against France at the recent U20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica, where Nigeria reached the Round of 16.
The exciting striker, 18, also shone for Bayelsa Queens to qualify for CAF Champions League.
