At the weekend, Yira Sor scored his first league goals this season, but afterwards admitted it has been tough for him because of limited playing time at Belgian club Genk.
Yira Sor scored a brace only for Gent to fight back to draw level 2-2 at the death.
“The coach told me on Saturday that I had to be ready, because there was a chance that I would be in the starting line-up,” Yira Sor told Het Belang Van Limburg.
“Of course I was happy, because I have not played that often and that was difficult for me. But I continued to believe in myself and knew that I would have to seize my chance. I succeeded with two goals.”
The winger said he was disappointed with the home draw.
“I was in shock when I the game finished 2-2,” he said.
“I didn’t expect that at all, because we had been in control of the match until then. But for a moment we lost concentration and we were thrown off track.”
