Cape Verde World Cup goalkeeping hero Vozinha has finally joined top Chilean club Colo Colo after weeks of uncertainty.
The transfer saga was drawn out, but in the end, 40-year-old goalkeeper Vozinha has been presented by a new club, after his success with Cape Verde during this summer’s World Cup.
After landing in Chile, to much hysteria in Santiago, the veteran is now presented by Colo Colo.
“Welcome to the Colo-Colo family!”, the club announced on X.
Colo Colo are Chile’s most successful club of all time and the only team from the country to have won the Copa Libertadores (South America’s Champions League).
Vozinha’s last club address was Portuguese club Chaves, which he left this spring. He has previous experience in clubs such as Trencin in Slovakia, AEL Limassol of Cyprus and Gil Vicente of Portugal.
