Super Eagles failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup and they are now in danger of not qualifying for the 2027 AFCON because they are not good enough, according to former coach Sunday Oliseh.
“We are failing because we are not good enough, we don’t have good players,” said Oliseh, who led Nigeria to the 1998 World Cup in France.
“Which of the Nigerian players at the National team is playing in a club that start the season to aspire to win the Conference League?
“I’m not even going to Champions League or Europa League. The Conference League, which is the smallest of the competitions.”
