David Okereke no longer has a future at Belgian champions Club Brugge and he has since been linked with various clubs including Turkish giants Besiktas.
But according to Fanatik, the forward will prefer to return to Italy, where he has played for Spezia.
Sampdoria are the latest club linked with Okereke and the question now is whether they can match the 5 Million Euros asking price of Club Brugge.
Club Brugge paid Spezia a record eight Million Euros two years ago for the Nigeria star, who started brightly in Belgium before he eventually fell out of favour.
He managed only four goals last season.
