It could well be a repeat of last pre-season drama when Victor Osimhen trained on his own and apart from the Napoli main squad should he not make a transfer before July 15 when the Serie A champions will resume training camp for the new season.
Gazzetta dello Sport reported today that Osimhen will be called up by Napoli for pre-season training should he not have transferred to another club before then.
The newspaper reported that this is the rule, but a gentleman’s agreement could then be reached between the club and player for him to train on his own and avoid any uncomfortable moments for both parties knowing that the relationship is strained.
Osimhen will officially return as a Napoli from a loan deal to Galatasaray by midnight tomorrow.
