Will free agent Okereke return to Belgium?

David Okereke is now a free agent and has been linked with a transfer back to Belgium.

The 28-year-old forward was regarded as a flop when he first played in Belgium for Club Brugge, who paid a then record eight million euros to Spezia to sign him.

There is also interest in the player from relegated Italian club Sampdoria as well as Turkey, where he previously played on loan.

Okereke’s previous clubs include Venezia, Torino, US Cremonese and Gaziantep.
