Whether or not FC Nantes will opt to keep their highest earner Moses Simon will be one of the biggest posers after the 2019/2020 French Ligue 1 season was called off no thanks to the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Moses Simon’s loan spell from La Liga club UD Levante has effectively ended on the back of the abrupt halt to the season.
However, Nantes, who placed 13th on the table after being front runners earlier in the season, could now trigger the option to buy the 24-year-old winger for a bargain five million Euros.
Simon, who is the highest paid star at ‘The Canaries’, has done enough to earn a permanent transfer to France.
The Super Eagles star has played as one of two strikers in France and the conversion has been a massive success as he was involved in 17 goals directly – nine goals and eight assists.
He was also voted Nantes Player for the month of January.
The former KAA Gent star has also said he will welcome this transfer after he battled to play a key role at Levante, who at a time even played him as a left wingback.
“I am more relaxed and settled at Nantes, no pressure,” he told SCORENigeria
“I am also playing to my full potentials because here I am a very offensive player.
“At Levante, I had to fall back to help out in the defence.”
