SCORENigeria can exclusively report that Victor Osimhen did not show up for the second half of the 2026 World Cup Playoffs final against DR Congo because a precaution had to be taken for him against a major injury.
A source told SCORENigeria: “He was not actually injured, he said he felt something around his thigh and out of precaution, he was replaced for the second half by Akor.”
Therefore, speculations that he was injured or had a running stomach were off the mark.
Also, there was no dressing room row between the players at half time as has also been reported.
