SCORENigeria has exclusively gathered that a proposed transfer to Hamburg for Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi is being held up because OGC Nice are demanding more cash from the German Bundesliga club.
Portuguese champions FC Porto had the option to buy Moffi for eight million euros at the end of his loan spell, but asked to pay less which Nice rejected.
Hamburg are now also haggling for a reduction in the transfer fee for the 27-year-old striker.
“The delay in his transfer has been caused by what Nice want for him and what Hamburg are prepared to pay,” a source close to the player informed SCORENigeria
“Otherwise, he is already good to go to Germany.”
Moffi is under contract until June 30, 2027, and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €8.00m.
Nice acquired him in July 2023 for a fee reported to be €22.5 million
