It has now emerged that mighty Barcelona are latest club who are keen to sign Wilfred Ndidi in the New Year.
The Catalan giants, according to Sport, are serious about signing the 26-year-old defensive midfielder.
His contract runs out next year and he could sign a pre-contract with Barcelona in January and walk away a free agent in the summer.
Barcelona have been on the hunt for free players because of their poor finances, the report further said.
In the summer, Ndidi was linked to another top European club, Bayern Munich, as well as several Premier League clubs following the relegation of Leicester City.
Ndidi has scored one goal and made three assists in 12 games in the English Championship this season.
He has won 53 full international caps with Nigeria.
Barcelona are currently in third place in La Liga, four points behind league leaders Girona and two points behind rivals Real Madrid
