Seyi Olofinjana, former Super Eagles star and owner of Imperial Football Academy who sourced Awoniyi, disclosed that the striker is pursuing a second passport and so he has to obtain this before a move away from England.
“Taiwo Awoniyi is a product of Imperial Football Academy, and he isn’t moving anywhere – he’s going to stay in England until he obtains his second passport,” Olofinjana told a podcast.
Incidentally, Awoniyi was on target yesterday for Forest in a pre-season friendly against Championship side Blackburn Rovers.
