Tolu Arokodare has reacted to reports that he refused to leave training after he was ordered to do so by the new Wolves manager.
Arokodare allegedly refused to leave training this week after coach Cesar Peixoto asked him to stop training due to the transfer issues surrounding the striker.
The Super Eagles striker maintained that he has comported himself professionally at Wolves, who were relegated from the Premier League last season.
“I was very surprised and disappointed when I saw the reports appearing in the media today, many of which are incorrect,” he said via social media.
“Throughout my career, I have always taken great pride in behaving professionally and maintaining the highest training standards.
“My commitment has always been to prepare myself as well as possible, so that I can help my teammates and the club when I am called upon.
“I am still under contract with Wolves and my only intention is to fulfill my responsibilities professionally by training, doing my work, and contributing to the team, in accordance with that contract.”
The big centre-forward has been linked with a transfer away from the English club.
