Ambitious Belgian club Antwerp will soon record a bargain buy when they sign Alhassan Yusuf from Swedish club IFK Goteborg for a “cheap” 1.5 Million Euros.
A source who is involved in this transfer told SCORENigeria that Swedish club Goteborg had risked losing their star midfielder altogether as he has only a year left on his contract.
“He could have walked away a free agent by next year,” the source explained to SCORENigeria
Goteborg also did not propose a contract extension because they were very much aware Yusuf will not take it because he wishes to move to a bigger league to further develop his game.
It is on record that two years ago Goteborg rejected a seven Million Euros bid by Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers for the 2019 Sweden Young Player of the Year.
The Swedish club had insisted on a guarantee from Wolves.
