Paul Onuachu has wondered what more he will need to do to earn a big-money transfer from Belgian club Genk.
Last season, Onuachu fired 35 goals in all competitions, but he is still featuring in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League this term.
“I can do nothing more to get a transfer,” the giant striker told Het Laatste Nieuws.
“The football world is not always fair. I am still convinced that I could have made a nice transfer.
“In addition, many clubs are currently not having an easy time financially due to the Corona Pandemic.”
He further revealed he had to play the waiting game at Genk while hoping that he will move this season.
“I’m not going to lie about it myself,” said Onuachu. “I had expected to train at KRC Genk for a few more weeks after the holidays and then leave for a new club. I was waiting, waiting and waiting. In the end nothing came.”
Onuachu has since extended his contract with Genk till June 2024 but said the club have reached an agreement with him should an offer be made for him. “Genk will cooperate if an offer was made that all parties agree with,” he revealed.
