Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has maintained his team are confident of victory against Central African Republic tomorrow even though they will be missing several key stars.
This comes at a time that Genk striker Paul Onuachu became the latest player hit by injury.
Onuachu had his right ankle heavily bandaged in Tuesday training and could only match the rest squad train at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.
Injury has also ruled out Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Alex Iwobi, Terem Moffi, Henry Onyekuru from the World Cup qualifiers against CAR.
But Rohr said the team will win tomorrow to consolidate their leadership of Group C.
“We have some injuries to key players. The team will still be able to do the job,” the coach said.
“We will do the work and prepare well.
“We are strong together and the quality in the team in the team will give us the result.”
Both teams will clash again on Sunday in Douala, Cameroon.
