Holland coach Louis Van Gaal has praised the current form of Arnaut Danjuma, who is also eligible to play for the Super Eagles, but he will not guarantee the Villarreal forward an invitation.
Against most expectations, Van Gaal again snubbed Danjuma despite what he has shown in recent times at his La Liga club.
The former Ajax Amsterdam supremo said he did not call-up the Lagos-born star because he only recently changed clubs.
“He changed clubs. He did that late. At first he mainly came in, now he’s doing great. He could also be there, but I didn’t decide so, “said Van Gaal.
And even though the coach is aware of the red-hot form of the player, he cannot guarantee him an invitation soon.
“I am very happy that he is doing so well. I cannot imagine that he will not be there next time. But he can also just suffer a dip in form,” concluded Van Gaal.
Recently, Danjuma revealed he will be open to play for the Super Eagles should he not get the nod from Holland, where his mother is from.
