A cross section of West Bromwich Albion fans has rated Semilogo Ajayi as one of the best signing ever by the club.
The towering defender joined ‘The Baggies’ this summer from Rotherham United and has established himself as a key part of club.
The former Arsenal player is rated alongside Youssouf Mulumbu, who was signed in 2009 January transfer window from PSG.
Mulumbu became a crucial part of ‘The Baggies’ for his six full seasons at the Hawthorns, being integral to West Brom’s promotion from the Championship in the 2009/10 season and helping them establish themselves in the top flight.
A Baggie fan, Dan, with twitter handle @ItsYouDanDanwba: “GMAC up till this season but have to say Ajayi is a steal at 1.5 mil.”
Another fan, Theo, with Twitter handle @TKPwba tweeted: “Could be Sawyer or Ajayi in few years.”
The 26-year-old defender, who also plays as a midfielder, has played 18 games with two goals this season.
He has played for Arsenal, Charlton Athletic, Dartford, Cardiff City, AFC Wimbledon, Crewe Alexandra and Rotherham United.
Brow Ideye and Osaze Odemwingie as well as Nwankwo Kanu are the other Nigerians who have played for ‘The Baggies’.
