William Ekong has said he is delighted to have signed a five-year contract with English Championship club Watford and cannot wait to hit the ground running.
“New chapter @WatfordFC! Happy to be here and ready to get started,” Ekong tweeted after he completed his transfer from Serie A club Udinese.
He has been handed the No 5 shirt at ‘The Hornets’.
The 27-year-old central defender has won 42 caps for Nigeria since his debut in 2015.
He played 66 matches for Udinese since he joined them from Turkish Bursaspor in 2018.
He has also played in Belgium and Norway.
