Golden Eaglets star Ibrahim Sa’id has said he rejected a move to Belgian champions Club Brugge because he will not enjoy enough playing time even though he will earn more cash.
The 18-year-old forward explained why he chose Danish club Viborg ahead of Club Brugge and Turkish champions Istanbul Basaksehir.
“I had offers from Club Brugge and Basaksehir, but I wasn’t going to play enough at both clubs,” he said.
“That’s why I chose to play in Denmark.
“Financially I could earn a lot more in Belgium and Turkey, but my development as a player. takes precedence.”
The difference between Viborg and Club Brugge is huge – the Danish club were relegated from the first division last season and are therefore playing in the second divisionl in Denmark this season.
