Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface is a special player who promises to do a lot more, according to former Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi.
The 23-year-old striker has been tipped to shine at his debut AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.
“He will become a complete striker in the next couple of years,” Mikel said on the latest episode of Obione podcast.
“He has the physique, he is quick, good on the ball, technically very good and it’s difficult to see strikers that are that big and strong and powerful and then good on the ball as well.
“His assists as well, not just scoring goals, is something that will make this kid special, really, really special.
“I can’t wait to see what his journey will be in the next couple of years.”
As first reported by SCORENigeria, the Super Eagles are now sweating on the exciting striker to be fit for the AFCON, which kicks off Saturday.
He picked up a muscular injury in training with the national team training in Dubai.
