Bayern Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso has hinted Victor Boniface is now fully fit and could start tonight’s UEFA Europa League quarterfinal first leg against Premier League club West Ham.
Alonso said: “Adam Hlozek is injured from the weekend. Matej will play in goal. Boniface is fully fit to play, so he could be used from the start.”
The German Bundesliga table toppers are unbeaten in 41 matches thus far.
Boniface has been out injured since January, during the Super Eagles training prior to the recent AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.
Boniface was out for an extended period due to an adductor injury that needed surgery.
Last week, the 23-year-old striker made his first appearance back from Injury as a late sub during Leverkusen’s 4-0 thrashing of Fortuna Dusseldorf in the semifinal of the German Cup.
