Venezia have given an update on the imminent transfer of Club Brugge record signing David Okereke.
Okereke, 23, is set to complete a loan deal with the newly promoted Serie A club with an option for a permanent switch after he fell out of favour at Belgian champions Club Brugge.
Sports director of the Italian club, Mattia Collauto, has now disclosed Okereke has passed his medical and the transfer has only been held up by some documents.
“We are almost there with Okereke,” he said.
“The player has passed all his medical tests, we are now just waiting for the documents to be able to make the transfer official,” Collauto said at a press conference on Wednesday.
Okereke previously played for another Italian club Spezia.
