Newly promoted Serie A outfit Salernitana have agreed to pay Crotone six Million Euros for striker ‘Simy’ Nwankwo, according to media reports.
Calciomercato reported Salernitana, who finished as Serie A runners-up last season, are ready to pay for Nigeria striker.
‘Simy’, 28, has figured prominently in transfer rumours this summer after he netted 20 goals in Serie A last season.
However, his club Crotone headed straight back to the Italian lower league.
He has been linked to several top Italian clubs including Fiorentina and Lazio.
But it appears it’s only Salernitana who are willing to put the cash on the table for the striker now as they hope his goals will keep them afloat in the top league in the new season.
Salernitana last played in Serie A 23 seasons ago.
