Marca has reported on striker Umar Sadiq Umar’s impending transfer to Valencia.
Sadiq Umar is nearing a deal to join Valencia, a move he had been aiming for throughout the summer.
He has turned down other offers, and the transaction is awaiting an economic agreement. Valencia has enhanced their initial proposal by increasing the loan fee to nearly one million euros.
Real Sociedad are insisting on a mandatory purchase clause, whereas Valencia prefer it to be optional.
Last June, Real Sociedad had a nine million euro option, which Valencia did not act upon.
Real Sociedad acquired Sadiq for 20 million euros in 2022 and have a contract with him until 2028.
Discussions are ongoing about a reduced option fee and a pay cut by the player.
Valencia see Sadiq as a priority to boost their attack and so the deal is expected to be finalised before the transfer window closes this week.
