Utility player Uche Agbo has joined Portuguese club Sporting Braga on deadline day after a transfer to Belgian club KAA Gent fell through following a routine medical.
He has moved on loan from Belgian club Standard Liege with option for a permanent deal.
He still has a year left of his contract with Standard.
It is a new adventure for the versatile player, who has played in Spain and Belgium.
Former Eagles defender Elderson Echiejile played for several years for Braga, who are regarded as the third biggest club in Portugal.
Agbo has been capped by Nigeria at U20 level and has also been part of the Super Eagles squad until recently.
