Tunisia scored two first-half goals and added a third after the break against Uganda tonight to win 3-1 and go top of the AFCON Group C, which also has the Super Eagles and Tanzania.
The 2026 World Cup qualifiers have three points after their opening day victory, same as the Super Eagles, who pipped Tanzania 2-1 earlier today in Fes.
Both Tanzania and Uganda are pointless after the opening day.
Tunisia and the Super Eagles will battle for the group leadership Saturday night in Fes.
The top two teams in each of the six groups automatically advance to the Round of 16 of the competition.
