An excited Moses Orkuma has described as “the sweetest victory” after he collected his second Tunisia Cup winners’ medal Sunday night.
Orkuma and compatriot Anthony Okpotu helped modest US Monastir to a first-ever Cup conquest at the expense of mighty Esperance.
The experienced midfielder’s first Cup win was five years ago with Etoile du Sahel.
“For me, it is the sweetest victory because nobody believed a modest side like US Monastir will do it against the most successful team in Tunisia, Esperance,” he told SCORENigeria
Okpotu was equally jubilant, saying the feat was a reward for the hard work the team have put in.
“I said the Coupe Tunisia win will be the icing on the cake for us. Indeed it turned out so, a reward for our hard work,” the Tunisia league Goal King said.
“We started the season with a win against a big side, CS Sfaxien, and ended it with a famous win over Esperance.
“Glory and praise be returned to God almighty.”
