Former Golden Eaglets star Akinkunmi Amoo, who is having his own share of troubles off the pitch, is closing in on a permanent transfer to Cyprus from Danish champions FC Copenhagen.
Amoo has failed to establish himself at FCK, where he has a contract till 2026.
In July, the Danish club confirmed that Amoo had trial training with Cypriot club Omonia Nicosia, where Hammarby’s former sporting director Jesper Jansson is now based.
Now Fotbolldirekt.se has reported that Omonia Nicosia and FCK reached a verbal agreement about Amoo.
It is a permanent transition, but it is unclear how much the transfer fee will be.
The Cypriot transfer window only closes Friday, so there is still time to complete the deal.
