KAA Gent coach has hinted Gift Orban will start tonight’s UEFA Conference League group tie against Ukrainian club Zorya.
Gift Orban is frustrated he is no longer scoring goals and getting enough game time at the Belgian club.
After a sensational start to life in Belgium in the second round of last season in which he scored 20 goals in 22 appearances, many expected the striker to make a big transfer away from Belgium.
That did not happen and it has adversely affected his overall performance and he is no longer guaranteed a starting spot at Gent.
The striker kicked a water bottle after he was introduced as a late sub at weekend in a home draw with Union St.Gilloise.
Gent coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck said that was “not the end of the world” and suggested Gift Orban will get his chance tonight.
Gift Orban has netted four times in the Conference League and a home win tonight will seal their ticket to the knockout rounds.
