Paul Onuachu was linked with a transfer away from Trabzonspor in the summer window and now the club President has opened up on this.
The giant striker was widely linked to a lucrative transfer to Saudi Arabia, but Trabzonspor President Ertugrul Dogan said they will not sell the Super Eagles striker.
“There is no question of Paul Onuachu leaving. He is the top scorer in this league, so that’s out of the question,” he stated.
Instead of a striker departure, the Turkish team signed another striker, Franculino Dju from Danish club FC Midtjylland.
President Dogan said Dju was a priority signing and he was signed under “reasonable conditions”.
