Turkish club Trabzonspor have given latest updates as regards the transfer situation of striker Paul Onuachu.
Sports director Abdullah Avci said Onuachu remains keen to stay at the club with the club president pushing hard to ensure they secure an agreement with Premier League club Southampton.
“We spoke with Onuachu three, four days ago; he also wants to be with us. As of now, I can’t say it’s possible or not,” Avci disclosed.
“The president is working hard on this issue. We’ll be a little patient.”
The Turkish club are ready to break their transfer record to sign the 30-year-old striker, who netted 17 goals and made four assists in 25 appearances on loan last season.
