SCORENigeria has been informed that all 25 players of the Golden Eaglets have scaled the dreaded MRI age test at the U17 AFCON qualifiers with an official claiming “they are the youngest team” in Togo.
The authorities had insisted on taking only players on Grade 4 and below.
This comes after the decision of CAF that a team as a whole will be thrown out on account of one failed age test.
The Eaglets will now hope to beat arch-rivals Ghana on Saturday afternoon to make up for the 1-0 loss to Cote d’Ivoire yesterday.
A draw may not be enough to get them to the knockout rounds of the competition.
Kick-off time at the Municipal Stadium in Lome is 4pm local time, which is 5pm in Nigeria.
