Former Flying Eagles striker Jerome Akor will today lead the Sogndal attack as they aim for the fourth straight season to return to the Norwegian top league.
Sogndal finished sixth in the regular season and will today visit fifth-placed KFUM in a promotion playoff.
The winners of this tie will advance to the next round of the promotion playoffs.
Akor, 21, has enjoyed his most productive season since he moved to Norway in 2017 after he scored 10 goals in 26 games in the regular season to finish as his club’s top scorer.
Last season, a back injury limited his appearances but he returned in time to score an important goal in the promotion playoffs.
Sogndal eventually missed out on promotion that season.
