Top Polish club Widsew Lodz have announced they have signed former Golden Eaglets flying winger Samuel Akere from Botev Plovdiv of Bulgaria.
Widzew Lodz beat several top Belgian clubs to sign Akere to a contract until 2029.
The Polish club hope 21-year-old right winger Akere will bring them success in the new season.
“Samuel is a winger with an exceptional ability to analyze situations and make quick decisions, he can also play one-on-one. He knows how to create space on the pitch. He is fast and often attacks the space behind the opponents’ defense line,” sports director Mindaugus Nikolicius remarked.
“Although he is focused on playing in the attack, he is able to be disciplined in the defense phase.
“I am glad that we are welcoming a young player to Widzew, whom the Club will help in his sports development, and who will hopefully contribute to achieving success in the next season.”
