SCORENigeria can exclusively report that a top Nigerian official was attacked Saturday by supporters and tickets for tonight’s AFCON Final in Abidjan taken from him.
It was gathered that the official was beaten black and blue and over 100 match tickets were stolen from him by desperate fans who want to be at the stadium for this championship game.
This comes against the backdrop of a massive match ticket racketeering for tonight’s AFCON Final between the Super Eagles and hosts Cote d’Ivoire.
The fixed price for the match ticket for a cheap seat is 5,000 CFA, which is about 10,000 Naira.
However, many who have these tickets are now selling it for as much as 70,000 CFA (about 140,000 Naira).
It will be a full house tonight at the 60,000-capacity Alassane Quattara Olympic Stadium in Abidjan when the curtains are finally drawn on an open and thrilling 34th edition of the AFCON that saw top favourites crash out in the knockout rounds.
