Top Cypriot club Apollon Limassol are not willing to sell experienced defender Godswill Ekpolo despite interest from his former Swedish club BK Hacken.
The 28-year-old defender quit Hacken in the 2021 season.
The Swedish club now wish to have him back, but Apollon Limassol consider him one of their key players and are not ready to sell.
Instead, they plan to give him a new contract, according to Fotbolldirekt
The defender’s current contract with the club expires this summer.
However, the parties must be far apart from each other regarding the financial aspect of the new contract.
Ekpolo, who can play both center back and right back, scored a total of six goals and ten assists in 113 competitive matches during his time at the Allsvenskan club
