Top Bundesliga club Werder Bremen were reportedly in the stands to spy on Jerome Akor as he for the third time this season scored a late match winner for Lillestrom to shoot to the top reaches of the Norwegian standings.
Akor, who was described by TV2 football expert Yaw Amankwah as “the hottest striker in Norway”, again waited till stoppage time to score the only goal at Odd Friday night.
He repeated the late heroics against Stromgodset and Valerenga.
The former Flying Eagles striker has now fired six goals in as many matches.
Lillestrom are now second behind leaders Bodo/Glimt in the Norwegian top league with 12 points from six matches.
TV2 reported that scouts from Werder Bremen were in the stands to look more closely at “the hottest striker in Norway”.
Top Lillestrom officials have said they hope to sell the 23-year-old striker for “a lot of money” amid growing interest.
“The future is the next game,” simply replied Akor when he was asked about possible interest from other clubs
