With just a week before the transfer window in Europe closes internationally, a special scouting report on the top 10 talents in Scandinavia has alerted Belgian clubs to take a closer look at IFK Goteborg midfielder Alhassan Yusuf.
The special report by VoetbalNieuws said of 19-year-old Yusuf, who has previously been linked with champions Club Brugge and Anderlecht: “Over to Sweden, where Anderlecht recently searched in vain for two defensive midfielders. The first is Armin Gigovic (18), who shows off on numerous lists throughout Europe.
“However, we chose Alhassan Yusuf, a strong Nigerian who plays for IFK Göteborg – where Genk picked up Benjamin Nygren last year – and is compared to N’golo Kanté.
“He would already be open to a transfer, although the price tag is not small, just like with Gigovic, partly due to the interest from the Premier League.”
Yusuf is the Young Player of 2019 in Sweden.
