Transfermarkt, one of the top sites for player values, just dropped an update. That includes Nigeria’s squad too. Let’s check out five players with the biggest price tags right now.
Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen is still the most expensive player on Nigeria’s national team. At the same time, the price tag for the current Galatasaray striker is going down. As of August 2025, the 29-year-old forward is valued at €70 million. His peak value of €130 million was recorded in June 2023. By the way, betting companies in Nigeria are confident Osimhen will be the top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig for the 2025/2026 season.
Ademola Lookman

This summer, Ademola Lookman was close to joining Inter from Atalanta. But the Bergamo club turned down a few offers from Milan for the 27-year-old Nigerian forward. Currently, his market value is estimated at €60 million, according to Transfermarkt. Fun fact: Atalanta signed Lookman back in 2022 and paid RB Leipzig €10.85 million for him.
Victor Boniface

Victor Boniface has become a key player at Bayer. In the 2023/2024 season, his club pulled off a massive surprise by beating Bayern to win the Bundesliga title. His value increased to €45 million after that, but it is currently at €40 million. This summer, Victor was close to joining Milan. The Nigerian international even traveled to Italy for a medical. But the deal was never made official.
Alex Iwobi

Alex Iwobi ranks fourth in market value among players on Nigeria’s national team. Currently, he is valued at €28 million. His highest worth was €32 million back in 2019, when the left winger was playing for Everton. Interesting fact: the Fulham player is the nephew of Nigerian legend Jay-Jay Okocha.
Calvin Bassey

Rounding out the top 5 most valuable Nigerian players is another Fulham talent: Calvin Bassey. Right now, Transfermarkt lists him at €25 million. That is the highest value currently shown on the 25-year-old center-back’s profile. Quick reminder, Calvin started his pro career at Ajax. Then Rangers in Scotland loaned him. In 2023, he made the move to London for €22.5 million.
