Tesho Akindele was among the goals as his Major League Soccer (MLS) side Orlando City defeated hosts Toronto FC 3-2.
He has now scored three goals this season.
The enterprising forward scored in the first minute to give the visitors 1-0 lead for his 40th goal in MLS regular-season action, 24 of those goals at FC Dallas.
Akindele, who was also eligible for USA before he chose Canada, assisted Nani for the second goal in the eight minute.
Another Nigerian, Ayo Akinola, was on the scoreboard for Toronto FC in the 10th minute.
Daryl Dike, who played on loan at Barnsley in the English Championship this past season, was a 64th minute substitute for Akindele.
It was his first time on the pitch for the MLS side since his return from loan.
