Injured Enugu Rangers defender Ousmane Sane Pape has expressed confidence his team can beat “more organised” Egyptian side Pyramid FC when they clash this afternoon in a CAF Confederation Cup Group A game.
The 35-year-old Senegalese defender admitted the Egyptians are more organised, but Rangers have a good chance against them if only they will be tactically disciplined and determined in front of their home fans today.
“Football is 11 players against 11 players. They may be more organised, but all depends on how we approach the game, we have to be calm, very disciplined tactically, ready to give our all and very determined to win the game,” he told SCORENigeria
‘The Flying Antelopes’ will be led by new coach Salisu Yusuf, who has to make do with an injury-ravaged squad against big-spending Pyramid FC packed with a dozen internationals.
Kick-off time is 2pm at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
